White dog ticks
Ticks are a creamish white,they suck the dogs blood and they get big and brownish red when they fill up with blood,
DO NOT BURN IT OFF WITH CIG YOU WILL HURT YOUR DOG,
Take your dog to the vet tomorrow, they have a special tool to take a tick out, you have to get the head of the tick all out of the dog, because if you don't, it will get infected and cause more problems for your dog,( it might not even be a tick ),
Tick is the general name given to a group of Arachnid some of which act as transmitters of diseases, ticks are blood-suckers
arthropods which are responsible for transmitting a wide range of diseases to man. Ticks cause shepherds and gamekeepers lots of problems,

GO TO THE VETS IN THE MORNING
I don;t think it is a tick because ticks are usually brown and I think would change colour anyway as they sucked blood off the host animal so I would leave it until you can get to the vet and see what they have to say.
If you want to try to remove it yourself you could always try a tick remover as they are available at a very low cost...
yes its a tick u have to be carfull when taking a tick off coz if u leave the head it will just lay eggs and it will happen all over again use some tweezers and get as close to the skin as possible its horrible i know i had to get one off my lab puppy the other day good luck!!!
Ticks are usually grey, this sounds like a growth of some sort, my dogs have them, they get them when they get older. Do what someone said with the vaseline first but never put a cig near your poor dog!
dont you dare burn your dog with your cig thats animal cruelty. take it to the vets in the morning because they can get it off and if you leave the head on it then it will just get worse!!! take him/she to the vet!
yeah duz sound like a tick which can get on 2 ya pets through going in2 feilds ect they *** off sheep the best way 2 get them off is 2 use like a turps or white spirits thats all vets use 2 get them off but they woe charge u much if u take ya dog 2 a vets about 2 quid at da most a fiver gud luk with getting it off but try not 2 use a ciggy u mite accidentley burn ya poor dog bless ya hee xx

Yes, it's a tick, and check for more: my dog came home from a walk with FOUR of those things stuck to his head.
