Answers:I have a two year old chihuahua-jack russell mix named Skittles. She is very hyper, loveable and sooo smart. She even does tricks. She has the many traits of the jack russell. the only traits she has of the chihuahua is the size and big pointed ears. She is ten pounds. My tip for you is to keep plenty of dog toys around. My dog loves to play with toys. She loves to play fetch with her toys. We also took Skittles to a puppy training program at Petsmart. Because we heard bad stories about Jacks. It was worth ever penny. I think Jack Russells are the best dogs around. They are extremely smart, loveable and friendly dogs. They do well with children.
Yes they are hyper but with plenty of exercise and walks, they will do fine.
