A traditional pit bull would be weaker than a bull terrier due to original game dogs were 35-45 lbs. Today's pitbulls would be stronger due to the fact that they come a lot bigger. They range from 35 - 100 lbs "as a breeder still skeptical" but the bull terriers standard hasn't changed. Thus making it a smaller dog in today's standards - making the pitbull stronger in MOST cases.
