Who thinks Cesar Milan is a moron and why2007-11-25 2:55:14

I believe in all of his teachings... why do some people think its a crock of crap?

Answers:

I like him, too. But some people dislike him because they take his methods out of context. As he says in the episodes, he is rehabbing dogs who have tried other methods and failed or whose owners have gone to him as a "last resort." His methods shouldn't be tried by just anyone. I read an article talking about how some dumbasses that watch his show go up to strange dogs in the park and try to make them be "calm submissive," not knowing what the hell they're doing. So, those people are giving him a bad name. I've also heard that some people don't like him because he doesn't have a "reward" system for dogs. But, like he says, his stuff isn't meant to be tried by just any yahoo with a dog.

i think he is good he gets the job done which is the main thing. Some people probably do not like his techniques thats all.

I agree with his teachings too. When I took my dog to training the trainer offered a refund if you adhere to Cesar's teachings. Her philosophy is you can not listen to him AND be a believer in positive reinforcement trainer. I think it is a misunderstanding of Cesars teachings. On the show, he sometimes has some dramatic methods for dogs with severe problems. He saves the dogs lives, so it's not something you'll hopefully have to use with your own dog. Those things are the exception.
