Who wants to play "guess my breed"2007-11-25 2:55:15

My sister's friends got this puppy and it bothers me that I have NO idea what breed she is. She's about 8 months old, maybe 25 lbs., loves chasing birds, etc. Her coat is longish - 3" or so on top, and soft. They got her from the pound but forget what they thought she was. I don't really have many good pictures of her, but here's what I've got.

Answers:

Wow, it's kind of hard to tell until they're a little older. I would definitely say that she has some kind of retriever mixed in there.

Other clues that could help define what type of dog she might be:

-Does she bark a lot, is she "yappy"? (Maybe a smaller breed mixed in somewhere, though this isn't always the case of course).

-What her tail looks like.

- Is she brindled? (It kind of looked like it in in one of the pics, but it was hard to tell).

-Does she exhibit any kind of hound dog traits? (pointing, following scents, sniffing and looking up every tree she comes to, baying).

She's a mutt if I've ever seen one. But I'd say she has Lab in her...maybe German Shepherd...and some sort of Spaniel.Spring Spaniel? Brittany? Cocker? I'm not sure.shes cute though!

My original instinct was Golden Retriever mix, until I re-read and saw that she was only 25# at 8 months.
