Why are female dogs more expensive

Anyways, if the breeders are not requiring spay/neuter of their puppies, then that's why the females will cost more. They can be used as breeders in the future.
I'd suggest not doing that though, I think dogs are much happier, if they are spayed/neutered.
If the breeder is paying for the spay/neuter (not sure if they do that), then the females will still be more costly, due to the spay surgery costing more than the neuter surgery.
Higher demand and the fact that the people buying might be thinking of breeding somewhere down the line. Male dogs tend to "mark" their territory.
Cause they aren't spaying or neutering the puppies before they go, they are selling them with full registration figuring someone is going to come along and hope make a mint on a female breeding her, so charge more to get their fair share.
You should buy a puppy that is either spayed/neutered or with a breeding contract.. Breeders that sell all their dogs with full registration, seldom have dogs worthy of breeding.
Its because females can breed more then males and so there value is more because they are the ones that have the babies. Also females are usually smaller then the males. I was looking into Yorkies and noticed the same thing. Also it is because people want female dogs who can breed and make pups for them. Usually good breeders will sell you a pet priced female which are cheaper and usually come with a contract to spay or neuter them]
