Why are my female Alaskan malamutes nipples swollen Is she pregnant Or is she just developing milk2007-11-25 2:55:43

I also have a male rottweiler/german shepherd too.And i got them from someone and don't know how old either one of them are.How old does a male have to be to get a female dog pregnant?And how old does a female dog have to be to get preganant?

Answers:

A female dog can get pregnant as early as 6 months old, give or take. And every male dog is different, but it has not been unheard of for a 7-8 month old male to be able to impregnate a female but younger is possible in some individuals.

Get her spayed immediately to be on the safe side.

SPAY AND NEUTER TOMORROW. females can become pregnant during their first heat which is NOT GOOD and males can reproduce around 5 to 6 months. please have them fixed ASAP>

A male can be as young as 8 months old to get a female pregnant. A female has to be in a heat to get pregnant. The first hear can be any where from 6 months of age to almost a years old.

She can be coming into her heat so if you dont want any pups you best keep them apart. If she ws already in a heat and you did nothing to keep her from mating with your male then you may have pups on the way in about 63 days.

males cant get pregnet.Have you had your dogs sprayed & neutered? Females usually start there heat cycyle from anywhere from 6 months to 1 and 1/2 years old males can give them (you know what) as young as 8 months old. Please take your dogs to the vet and get them sprayed/ neutured its not that expensive and it will reduce numerous health problems. Take her to the vet and see if she is undergoing a false pregancy. But she could just be eating more than usual which will make her fat. Please get them sprayed and neutered trust me you will be saving another dogs lives and maybe even your own dogs!

Not very old. Females have their first heat between 6 to 8 months. If your dogs are older than that, it is possible she is pregnant. If you don't want the puppies, you should go see your vet about having them aborted. It sounds cruel, but it's much worse if they end up unwanted at the shelter or on the streets.
