Why are people so hateful against pitbulls2007-11-25 2:55:43

Many people will find it hard to believe, but many Animal Rights groups, such as the Humane Society of the United States and People for the Ethical(yeah, right)Treatment of Animals are strongly behind the push to ban Pit Bulls, and other breeds of dogs, as part of their agenda to eradicate ALL domesticated animals, period. Don't think for one second that they will stand up to defend these dogs.

i am socked that because i choose to stay away from the breed i am the one that is uneducated and uninformed. it is not because of what i hear on the news, i am because the damage i have see that was done by pit bulls. when my older brother was on the opposite side of a street, and a "gentle" pitbull comes up and nearly rips his eye out, that keeps me away. there are many other dog that i am cautious to approch, but i keep my mind open. my friends pitbull. i am trainning her. she is very sweet but it is in her nature that she could cause me bodily harm just as much as a doberman, dalmation, or chow. i know growing up my german shepard, loved my family and protected, biting a few people. i don't beleive that getting one as a pet is irresponsible, i think not admitting to yourself that this is an animal that has a tendency to have a bit of a bad reputation and atittude, that is where people are being irresponsible.
