The bully breeds beat out other breeds such as golden retrievers and cocker spaniels.

There are no bad dogs; only bad owners.

It's too bad that irresponsible and ignorant owners have put such a bad name on these wonderful animals.

Pits were actually bred against human aggression so much that they are one of the few breeds that you can actually separate during a dog fight without retaliation. It's bad backyard breeding and irresponsible people that cause human aggression.

they are not! all of our friends have pits and they are nothing but unpredictable trouble especially around the 2-3 year old age range... none of our friends have kept their dogs after they reach this age because they seem to lose their minds but they go ahead and get another pit pup and try it again...lol...we got a big (145 lbs.) beautiful rotty instead and he is 5 now and the best family dog ever but he can and will protect his own and has taught many a pit bull their lesson...

They're a very strong protective dog, even though they're not as large as some other breeds. I've never owned one, but I've met people who did, and they let me pet their pit bulls. They're friendly and intelligent.
