Call the police station and talk to a higher-up, and consider calling a lawyer. They have seriously violated the laws in this case. They can't take your dog.
With verification that the dog has his rabies shot, I can't believe they took him anyway. There had to have been some sort of report filed by the guy claiming your dog bit him. You are entitled to a copy of that report! Anytime a person reports a dog bite, pictures are taken by the police also. Go to the police station and get a copy and bring it to your attorney.
Know what my cousin did? He got his dog taken away for biting a guy who was stealing something in his house. They guy ran, few hours later the animal control came and said they got a call. The god was up with shots and everything too. He hired someone to go buy the dog from the aspca, because he saw Brock on there, but they were calling him BoBo. So he hired the guy to go buy the dog and give it to him. They had no idea. And the dog is at my cousins now. But yes, if some1 had a complant for some STUPID reason they can just take it without PROOF!
Well, the law that any dog, cat, etc that bites or scratches so,meone has to be quarantined. You will get your dog back. Just to make sure (and to be a more responsible owner) yo should either chain him (dogs hate it) or just put a fence around the house too keep strangers out, and the dog in. If you had a fence, you wouldn't of had the problem in the first place.

I would fight it. I would get the name of that guy and report him. I would fib and say he was harrassing the dog which you dont know he didnt do already. He might of been nasty to it. I would keep up with the animal control. I would think the guy would have to prove the bite. I would take the Dallas Animal Control to court.
Just wondering why you would have your dog at your business anyway. and how did it get loose.
