it's chihuahua...and virtually all dogs shed...no different for them...heck, honey...you shed too...everything that has hair sheds
Chihuahua's and yes, short haired dogs shed more than long hair dogs. My Chi sheds constantly anytime you pick her up her hair is everywhere all over your clothing.

All Chihuahua's shed. I have two and they constantly shed when you pick them up, even when you don't pick them up.
