Why do dogs rub their ear on the ground on the same spot
Why do dogs rub their ear on the ground on the same spot2007-11-25 2:55:22
both of my dogs find a certain stop and rub theirs ears in the grass in that one stop
Answers:MY golden do this all the time. We have wild rabbits and were ever they stop and rest they then chase them out of they yard and rub their ears all over the spot where the rabbit was. I think it is just them scenting the ground.
It could be that they have ear mites. But if it's the same spot on the grass all the time, it could be that they are just scenting the area.
your dog could have an ear infection or ear mites or build up of drainage. i would go to the vet and have the ears checked out. he may need an aintbiotic, and a medicated ear wash or something to heal them.
hope it help
