Why do dogs wag their tails when you sing to them
I was sort of singing to my dog, Waiting for my bagels to get done, And she starts getting all happpy and wagging her tail. I of course think its adorable and awesome, But I'm just wondering why she does it o.O?
Answers:The voice of her mistress is lovely to her! She knows you were giving her loving attention, and wagged her tail in appreciation.

So they are happy, and wag their tails!
Some dogs seem to like music.
My Chief prefers String Quartets - he will actually stop, tilt his head, and listen for the string harmonies. i used to sing a certain tune to him, and he knows it's just for him.
BTW, talking or singing to your dog makes him/her smarter.

In school, I teach vocalization to aid in training dogs. A deep, growled voice is correction, your normal voice is command and a high pitched voice is praise and welcome. You should see how a group of puppies react to the variations. It always gets a look of amazement from the owners.
