Why does my GROWN dog not listen to me
I just recently got her from a girl, she is about a year old. The name she had given her I didn't like so i changed it. But she doesn't listen to me or my husband at all. The minute my alarm clock goes off she starts whining to go outside. She always wants to get on the bad and i tell her no, so she will run to the other side of the bed until i start to chase her, then she will run. When she goes outside she will run off and go into the neighbors yard and wont come back when i call her. I have to go get her. Well i emailed the girl and she said she never acted like this when she had her. What do you think is wrong? Thnx!
Answers:your dog is having separation anxiety! the dog misses their previous owner and will act out! changing her name can also confuse her even more!
it is a good thing that the dog whines to go outside! she has to go and doesnt want to go in the house obviously! some dogs just go anyway and dont tell you so you are lucky with that! if the dog keeps running off, walk her on a leash or get your yard fenced in or a shock collar and if you dont want the dog on the bed then keep her out of your room. never chase a dog! it causes more behavior issues!
It takes time and patience but the dog will eventually come around to you and your husband.
