Why does my dog have(see details, please)
He is 13 years old and he has lost several teeth, his gums have formed like little bubbles (there is circular bumps on his gums, and some parts look black and decayed) and when he poops he bleeds, why? whats wrong? its been going on for awhile but he never shows signs of being in pain (thats why i havent consulted the vet) i ask this out of curiosity, what could the problem be and what should i do? thanks in advance, 10 points to the most helpful answer.
Answers:This may not be point worthy, but infection in the mouth can be really dangerous and can lead to heart failure.
Take poochie to the vet.
Honey, it's time for the vet. Seriously.
take him 2 the vet
This is a sure sign of the dog dying of old age. You should have had this dog at the vet months ago!
In case you were talking about my comment when you were vulgarly cursing, this is only my opinion, I wasn't saying that you didn't care about your pet, but at the first sign of a medical problem with any of my animals, I always seek a vets help because I know that they know what to do better than I would!
your dog is OLD!!!
Those bumps on the gums, can be abscesses, that need to be evaluated by a vet, and treated, to prevent further gum disease & tooth loss.
The blood in the feces is hard to diagnose, but should definitely be looked at by a vet, whether or not the dog shows pain.
At his age, it could be a number of things. The mouth problem sounds like gum disease (Gingavitus). As far as the bleeding goes, you need to get him to the vet ASAP!
You should go to a vet right away. He could have something very serious like cancer. He may not be experiencing any pain but if you were losing your teeth, and had little bubbles that looked black adn decayed, and bled when you poop you would get medical attention to. You should get this checked out as soon as possible with a vet before it gets worse.
Dogs are like people, they need their teeth looked after also. They get gum disease and tooth decay. As for the blood in his stools, this isn't normal whether he shows pain or not, and you should have the vet see him or have him put to sleep if you aren't going to take care of him.
my dog was peeing blood so we brought her to the vet, thankfully i was only a kidney infection (kidney stones/crystals) so get him to the vet asap!!! so go go go! before he does go into any pain! or it could just be old age, but i'd take him to the vet just to be sure!! :))
My little chihuahua done that when she turned 12 years old and we never took her to the vet either. Just keep the mouth clean brush your doggies teeth with peanut butter and it will keep thme healthy. If there is alot of blood in the stole then take the dog to the vet. My chihuahua died last year at the age of 16 so there must not have been to much wrong with her until the last few months I think she died of old age though.
Your dog is bleeding, take him to the vet. This is not the place to ask this kind of question. Not matter what anybody tells you, you have no idea what their qualifications are.
there are several things this could be but since dogs cant say hay I'm in pain please just take him to the vet and have them give him a check up to be sure it isn't anything serious it could be so many things such as hemorrhoids or polyps some dogs get infections in their rectal glands and that causes bleeding the best thing is to have a pro give him the once over
Sounds like your dog is in great need of a visit to the vet.
