i think your dog is dreaming my dog will bark and to me it looks like she is running in her sleep,she also makes a sucking noise so i take it that she is remembering when she was a puppy and seeing that she is 15yrs old now i think it shows that dogs have good memories for past things to it is totally normal

sounds like your dog is dreaming, mine do it and they get a twitch aswell, harmless to them
Mine do that too, they are dreaming. My Pashka gives the most bloodcurdling growls when she dreams, and looks most surprised when I poke at her with my toe to wake her.
