Why does my dog keep barking repeatedly for no reason
There is nothing, no cars, people, other dogs,or anything else she might bark at. I yell for her to stop but it doesn't work, any ideas?
Answers:Some dogs just like to bark. They say a tired dog is a well behaved dog - so try this first. Take her for a long walk - play frisbee - whatever you like to do to tire her out. And be sure you keep her somewhat 'tired out' at times when she is likely to bark. Also give her an alternative of something else to do. Give her a few dog toys and see which she likes best. There are toys in which you can hide treats and the pup must work to figure out how to get them out. Also try just telling her gently "Stop" or "Enough" then tell her "Yes! Good Girl" when she does (and maybe sometimes throw in a tasty little treat for not barking.) I think doing these things will solve your barking problem - but if not you could try an electronic bark collar (but please ONLY do this after all other reasonable attempts have failed!)
