You may want to check with the Vet just to be sure but I suspect that she is snoring! I have 2 dogs that snore like banshees and it is very disturbing at times. I also have 1 dog that , while he doesn't snore, sometimes when he is asleep he makes sounds and I believe he is dreaming of chasing or playing and the noise associated with those activities come out in his sleep.
She could be dreaming and just snorting which is harmless.
It could also be a breathing apnia. If that is the case, I would get it checked out.

If your dog wears a collar perhaps it is constricting ability to breathe properly. You could try loosening slightly for sleeping to see if that helps. My dog has also done this after been out for a walk and had the collar tightened slightly to prevent her slipping it - it has then been left slightly tightened and she has started snorting and choking whilst sleeping.
My guess is that she is dreamin. My dog makes all kinds of weird noises when she is sleeping. If I think it is getting to much for her, I wake her up. If you are the worried about it, call your vet and ask them.
There is something called a reverse sneeze that sounds like snorting and wheezing coupled together. It is usually pretty normal, however if you have a flat faced dog, ie bulldog, pug, etc. you may wish to see your vet as their air passages are smaller and it is harder for them to breathe.
We need more info. What breed of dog is it? If it is a bulldog type, it is very normal for them to snort and snuffle. How old is Madison?
What breed is your dog? Some breeds, such as the pug, and the English bulldog have breathing problems due to the way their faces are configured, due to the way they were bred to look. This may be the problem.
If you're concerned about it, though, talk to your vet.
