Why does my dog2007-11-25 2:56:15

Sometimes, my dog lays on her back and squirms around and pulls her paws very her ears and eyes; it looks like she's playing peek-a-boo. It's so cute, but I don't know why she does it.

Answers:

It is one of the many wonderful things a dog does. They are often impossible to figure out. Sounds like she wants you to scratch her belly. My dogs roll over on their backs when they want a belly rub.

Check her for ear mites. They are easy to see. They look like brown gunk inside the ear.

If there are no ear mites she might just like scratching that way. Next time you are at the vet, just ask.

Well Hummmm sometimes It's because the dog is in his werid days. Sometimes It gets Horny or they just feel and act crazy.

We always call this a "happy dance". Just your dogs way of saying how delighted they are. My dogs are doing these alot right now from all the fresh green grass in our yard after a long, snowy winter.

My Lab does that as soon as I let him out of his pen. He makes great snow angels.
