Why does my dog roll in horses poo and eat it2007-11-25 2:56:11Answers:

Collie or Lab right, right after you bathed them!!

Dogs sick food up and eat it both ends! something to do with imbalance of chemicals in body. Dogs eat grass to throw up not for enjoyment!

Same thing, They just trying to moisturise the skin from feeling taught or dry! Try a different shampoo or conditioner..

Apparently some dogs do it for ownership of smell. Cos they smell pretty well about 3500: 1 they can pick on smell out.. If they like eau de la horse poo.. because they feel good in it and own the scent.

But really they do it to make you have to wash them again, just look at the expression a dog gives you after rolling in the grubbiest dirt it can find straight after the disciplined bath time!!!

Love dogs..

I have no idea but my mum's dog used to do this to, it is so bizarre! thankfully it seemed to be puppy behaviour because he doesn't go near it now at the ripe old age of 9!
a dog i owned years ago did the same, i was told not to worry, alot of neutriants are in (it) and rolling in it is ok for their skin, helps in the hot weather apparently
Hey its not just your dog. Most dogs love to roll in horse poop and eat it. Dogs love sticky stuff.
i dunno. i guess its kinda like pigs rollin in mud
Your dog eats horse poo because there are a lot of nutrients in it, it wont harm him/her.
