Why does my dog rub her head in bird poo2007-11-25 2:56:11
She is a minature yorkshire terrier, everytime i take her out for her daily walk, she rubs her head in bird poo! lol!.why does she do this?
Answers:She smells the birds and she is scent marking it to tell them it belongs to her.
She's probably hot. If they get too hot they will die (no joke). So that might be her way of keeping cool.
Most dogs will roll or rub in something that we find gross and smelly, they do this to put their own scent there and cover up the other scent. Very much the same as one dog peeing where another dog has peed.
