Why does my dog rub his neck and back on his food before he eats it2007-11-25 2:56:11
When I give my dog a new food, or something he does not recognize, he will rub his back and his head on the food before he will eat it.It is really funny, but I would like to know why he does it...Does anyone know?
Answers:He does it to make sure his scent is on it. Thats his way of saying that its his and noone else can have it.. Dont worry its natural
to mark his scent and to show to anydog that comes that that is his food not theirs
Dog and humans have a completly different opinion on what smells good. YOur dog obviously loves the smell of his food and he wants to smell like it. UNless it is wet food you have nothing to worry about.
