My female puppy will just be 17 weeks *** tuesday and today she was playing with my adult female dog and all of a sudden she started humpping like theres no tomorrow on top of the dogs back.can ne one tell me why she is doing this.BTW she is German Shepherd and the adult dog is a mongrel(domestic)..
Answers:It is a form of dominant behavior. The puppy is just challenging the adult to be the alpha female. It is common dog behavior.
