Answers:Dogs eat grass to coat their stomachs. For some reason they think that it will help their tummy ache. But they usually vomit it up. Good Luck
no, dogs use the grass to clean their teeth. But dogs are caniverous and don't digest veggies all that well. So, up they come.

The dog does this to make itself barf. It's pretty smart, eh? It knows it's sick and it wants whatever is in it's system out! So it eats grass, because it knows that that will make it hurl, and feels better! It's like a human taking Ipacec or laxative.
the dog has a stomach ache and eats grass to settle its stomach.
Dogs sometimes eat grass to settle their stomach. It doesn't mean the dog is sick. Also dogs sometimes eat grass like we eat a salad... odd I know.. but its normal and no need to worry unless the dog is doing it all the time, two or three times a day every day of the week or even every other day. Go to the owners and tell them what you have witnessed.
If the dog is vomiting regularly (3+ times a week) it could have worms. Instead of getting an expensive check of the stool, just get a dewormer from your vet and use it. They are safe even if it doesn't have worms.
I think it helps clean out their system.
it might be that it has some digestion problems. i remember reading an article that stated that even lions do this..it's not that they eat grass but they kinda use it to clean their stomach
