Why does my pug do this2007-11-25 2:56:43

I have two pugs a female and a male they are of course related. My female pug seems to always want to hump my male pug and she is almost a year old and she hasnt came into heat yet.

We originally got the pugs from my mother in law she had first started out with two pugs and they ended up having puppies together well out of that litter they kept one of there puppies and my mother in law now has 3 pugs the mother the father and the son do you think its at all possible that the son may have humped the mother and the mother and the son created my female pug and she is acting that way cause of insest ? If not, has anyone else had this problem and how do you fix it or do you know what it may be caused from ?

I dont think it has anything to do with insect. Dogs Hump.. It's what they do.. It's natural. If a dog will hump ur leg... why wouldn't it try to hump another dog? I have a 4 year old female Pug, and 2 other dogs. She humps them all the time. Of course she's a girl so she aint getting anywhere.. lol but it's just there nature.

Dogs do not know about incest first of all. They have no idea if they are breeding with there mom, dad, brother etc. They breed to whatever is available.

Dogs "hump" to show dominance. Please spay or nueter your pugs. You don't want to continue a line that is already inbred. And I am sure you already know pugs can have many health problems.
