I agree with the others brush him at least once a day...bath him every fortnight.

Thats really all you can do...dogs shed and you can't stop it!

It's the time of year. Winter coat being shed for summer coat.

A good brushing outside two or three times a week will do it a power of good!

Hi! Bathing you lab on a regular basis will help & if you brush with a Shredder comb daily will help you sofa etc against unwanted hairs.

Your (yellow) Labrador is shedding his coat and there isn't much you can do about it. No matter what you do, Labs shed profusely. The best thing to do is to brush him down everyday and feed him a good quality kibble (Innova, Solid Gold, California Natural or Canidae). Don't bathe him every fortnight as that will make his fur and skin very unhealthy. He will lose his natural skin oils and it will irritate his skin a lot.

It helps if you get what is called a #40 blade...the kind they use to groom with and brush very gently along the body. This will remove A LOT of the shedding hair. Work in small sections and only for a few minutes. Start off with every other day and then down to once or twice a month-this works miracles.

Hi, make sure you brush your dog regularly, also adding 1 teaspoon of olive oil to their drinking water once a day can reduce the amount they moult, I do this with my golden retriever and I've found he doesn't moult as much as he used to and he has a beautiful glossy coat. Hope this helps.
