All mammals have umbilical cords AND belly buttons. The Mom usually bites them off really close so they're all "innies".

Dogs do have belly buttons you have to look very hard in the middle of there little nipples towards the bottom of there stomach it's actually pretty funny when you notice it.

They have umbilicus(es) - looks like a straight line / scar though. Usually covered with hair or fur as well which makes it more difficult to locate.

I never looked on a cat, but dogs DO have belly buttons. They're just not as pronounced as humans. If you rub the stomach of a dog, you'll come across a small bump. That's the belly button.

um... they do have belly buttons... just not obvious "innies" or "outies" like humans... usually a smooth, flattish spot about as big as a fingertip in the middle of the abdomen

Mine does and sometimes I tickle it. It's the cutest little thing...then again he's only 10 lbs. so it's easy to find. tickle tickle tickle :)
