Why i cant get my puppy to go outside

ok my puppy will be 4 months on may 31 07 but she use to go outside and walk for 30 secounds but now she just dont move when i put her chain on she dont want to go out side why is she like that she dont like to was but she run all day inside how i make her move outside and.how do i stop her from biteing me when i try to pick her up sometimes is it she dont like me

4 months can be a secondary fear period on dogs development. Is there any way you can fence in a small area of your yard? Even using a exercise pen, or some wire garden fence to make an area about 6' by 6' for her to go in. Maybe something about the leash frightened her. Do not leave her in that area unless you are there (outside) with her.

I would also advise finding a class to take her to -- the instructors can help you with the walking and the biting. Here's what I do with new puppies and students with new puppies:

first be sure your leash is light weight and meant for a Chi, put her collar on her and her leash and let her drag it around in the house --reward her with a bite of cheese when she walks -- after awhile, just pick up the leash and follow her around -- do not pull on her, just go with her and again, reward her with a bit of cheese for walking. If you are successful with this -- turn and walk slowly the other way -- use your chesse to entice her to follow you -- reward any walking with bits of cheese! It usually doesn't take long to get them following along with you.
