It depends on the cultural customs. For instance, I think in India the cow is sacred (budhism) so they don't eat cows but we do in the U.S. In other countries they eat horse meat (whereas we don't in the U.S.) . I personally wouldn't, but that is my cultural custom.

It is like us eating pigs here, or some other animal most people here in America consider normal to eat. Some people in other countries might think that is bad or weird to eat pigs, while they think it is completly normal to eat dogs.

OK. whew. it's really hard to explain this. I lived in Korea for 2 two years where they supposedly ate "dog". The thing is...it's not really a dog. It looks like a dog, but its not the type of thing we think of. They don't eat pomeranians and chihuahuas. It is a special breed that is only bred for eating, not for keeping as pets. So if you go to a country where they eat "dog", don't be afraid. They won't dognap your pup and fry it up. Plus...it is a delicacy and its about $100 dollars for a piece the size of the palm of your hand in Korea.

Meat is meat. Who cares, really? Your squeamishness or disgust is purely a culturally-ingrained trait, not based in any justifiable distaste for the meat on the basis of its healthfulness.

I mean... in some countries, people eat horses, goats, ants, grasshoppers, dogs, and practically anything else that moves. On the other hand, some cultures hold an extreme disgust for pork or beef.
