Why is my dog limping2007-11-25 2:56:25

He was running around and got his leg caught in the chair, and he has been limping ever since. He will put a little weight on it, but when he is running he is definately limping? Has this ever happened to your dog? what happened?

Well he could have pulled a muscle or even injured a joint. You'll have to take him to the vets to determine what is wrong. dog do all kinds of strange things when they are excited and playing. The tend to blow caution to the wind and are only constrating on playing. Accident happen and so do injuries.

My 2 year old Golden just last week when running down the deck stairs and for some reason decided to jump off the last 2. He went head over heels and ended up limping also. I took him to the vet that afternoon to find out he sprained his wrist. Now he's been down those stairs a million times, why he decided to jump off the bottom 2 stairs I'll never know.

Displaced hip? Anything is possible - accident's happen. Try to wrap up the leg with some pressure bandage for support until you can get your dog to the vet tomorrow morning.
