Why is my dog peeing so much2007-11-25 2:56:25

I JUST GOT A 2.5 YEAR OLD ROTTI YESTERDAY. SHE WAS BADLY ABUSED. SHE STARTED PEEING IN THE HOUSE EVEN AFER JUST BEING LET OUT. AT FIRST I THOUGHT MYBE IT WAS BECAUSE SHE WAS SCARED BUT TODAY SHES EVEN WORSE. RIGHT WHEN SHE DRINKS WATER 1 MIN LATER IT COMES BACK OUT. WHAT COULD IT BE?

I would take her to the vet.

If she has been bred she could have a uterous infection or she may have a bladder infection.

Otherwise some dogs just arent housebroken and used to going where ever they please.

But for medical issues i would have her checked for the bladder or uterous infection. She could also have bladder stones as well.

it can be a variety, from fear until kidney failure.I would suggest you get to vet and have the kidneys tested.The vet can supply you with a tool to collect some urine, withdrawing the urine straight form the baltter is an easy procedure, but extra costs are to be expected.

she is scared. That happens. Soothe her and the behavior will subside.

Also, possibly a urinary tract infection. Frequent urination is a sign of that. Frequent drinking water is a nervous habit for dogs. Also, maybe she is severely dehydrated, check her tongue for cracks and and if you lift her skin see if it immediately goes back into place. If not maybe she is dehydrated.
