Why is my dog peeing so much
Anyhow. To answer your questions:
Her urination issue could be:
Medical:
UTI, Kidney/Bladder infection.
Since she drinks soooooo much, she could have Diabetes.
Behavioral:
Dominant/Territorial Behavior (Is she spayed? If not, maybe in heat? Do you have other dogs?)
She could be simply nervous (Some dogs resort to drink when nervous).
Please, watch her closely. You may want to bring her to the vet tomorrow if she continues the piddling/drinking water habit so severely.
Otherwise, help her settle:
Put her leash on her, put her doggy bed next to your couch on the floor, give her a big bone and the both of you just RELAX.
The leash will help her to settle, to calm down, to start taking directions.
Again, thank you! And please, feel free to keep me informed about the progress with her.
Another tip:
Take her to Dog Obedience Group Class in your area.
It is the ultimate bonding experience! You guys become a team, your love and trust will increase for each other, and at the end, it's like you raised her since she was a puppy.
I'd hug you if I could! Again, thanks for giving her a new, better life now!
Maybe a urinary tract infection, maybe any number of things.. You should always see a vet when you get a new dog.. First check up gives them something to go on in the future.. Take her in, the vet can help.
