Why is my dog sneezing a lot2007-11-25 2:56:26

I have a dog that has been currently sneezing non stop. I think she may be allergic to something but what can she be allergic to? She has been sneezing constantly and hasnt been getting a lot of sleep and is less active. What could be the problem?

Dogs can be allergic to almost anything, just like people. It could be grass, pollen, something in your house, an ingredient in her food, etc. The only way to know for sure is to have an allergy test done. It's kind of expensive but then you'll know exactly how to treat it. The vet will take blood and send it into a lab for analysis.

If you don't want to do the test, the vet may be able to prescribe something to give her some relief but it's usually only temporary.

Could be a dusty home or maybe you have a plant in the house that she is allergic to. It could also be a cleaning chemical, or hairspray. Anything like that.

Try cutting down on some things and see if her behavior changes.
