Why is my dog waking up2007-11-25 2:56:27

He has lately been waking up and drinking alot of water. He also has been having to go potty at 3-5 in the morning lately and he used to make it through the night!

If your dog is drinking water through the night then yes he will need to go out, My dogs do not have water through the night as they just sleep right through the night like we would.

Sounds like he might be diabetic. I work at a vet and diabetic animals tend to have to drink A LOT of water, and consequently, have to go out much more often. Take him to your vet and have them run a blood test.
