Why is my pit bull so aggressive
It is such a shame. You never know when they are going to attack. It upsets me when people on here say their Pits are so loving and wonderful all the time. I know that can be true, but you never know when they are going to turn. That is the very sad, tragic thing about that loving breed. It is not their fault and it is not the fault of good owners. It is too much breeding to create an aggressive, fighting, killer dog. Until that instinct can be bred out of them, they will remain killers.
I don't know pit bulls, because in my country it is prohibited to keep pits. But I think, there is no dog who attacks without cause. The "because he is pit bull" is not true.
Unfortunately, you didn't write, how many years old is he, when did he started attacking everything and more important information.
Maybe he wants to hunt something or he feels frightened or he had bad experience and there is a lot of other possibility.
I think take him to a dog trainer very fast!
1. Pits are not agressive by nature. They are territorial.
My female HATES when anything other than her or approved animals/people are in her yard. Squirrels now don't even come in the yard when she is out. Dogs have different personalities just like people. Yours may have a more dominant personality. The best thing you can do is training. The first thing my dog learned was "leave it". No matter what it is that she has, when she hears that she drops it and lays down.
Any owner of any pit bull type dog needs to understand their dog will most likely be animal aggressive. Note the ANIMAL part of that. Regardless of training you should always expect your dog to want to go after any animal that moves.
