Is it dog or fox poop? Dogs go mad for fox poop for some reason - something to do with the smell!

Boxers love this and you can't stop him. Just steer clear of poop.My daughter is on her third boxer, they have all been lovely dogs, but they all did this.Mind you all hers like yours have been boys. Whether bitches also do this I don't know?

my springer always roles in horse poo, i dont really know why but i think its either, he just loves the smell of it or he is using it to blend in, kinda like camoflage ha ha...

It is quite common for dogs to roll around in something that smells bad. They do it because they don't want anything to stink worse then they do. I had a part collie once that we used to call poo poo neck.

he is trying to make himself smell like the other dog and cover his own scent up. That way the other dog won't smell him and won't "attack" him. Often it is a sign they are nervous, mine rolls in cow pats too - therefore the cows will think he is a cow and won't hurt him.
