Why is that some people when pets die they act normal and for people like me who are close to the ca2007-11-25 2:56:49

I don't know why some people are like that. I guess it is just how they are. They have a right to act a certain way. Maybe they are sad on the inside, and being brave so you will be brave as well. Never believe how people are on the outside. I usually hide in tears when I am sad, but on the inside, I am crying hysterically.

If you are that concerned, devastated, etc. about the loss of Liberty, then talk to your parents about it. It may seem like they don't understand but they ARE your parents, and I am sure they can explain everything to you.

People react differently to deaths and grief. Im assuming youre younger? Or, havent experienced a lot of pet deaths? When I was younger and my pets died, I cried for days...as I got older, had more pets, and had more pets die on me, even though it was still hard each time, and I still missed them like crazy, I didn't always cry. I knew that they had a good life with me. That didn't mean that I wasnt upset. I was, and I still miss all my pets that passed away. There's nothing wrong with crying over a lost pet, if thats how you need to cope. and theres nothing wrong with being upset, but not crying. We all handle situations differently.

Some people become more attached to their pet than others.

Also the Christian belief is that animals do not have souls and therefore cease to exist after they die. One might t pray for a dead relative or friend and there by remember and the thought of some day being with them again tends to sooth the hurt. But people feel that after an animal dies it has served its purpose and they go on. Depending how attached you were to you pet will determine how long it will take to get over loosing the pet.
