Why is that some people when pets die they act normal and for people like me who are close to the ca2007-11-25 2:56:49

So sorry for your loss, you just have a closer relationship than your parents did, and that is why it is more upsetting to you. You have lost more and you hurt more.

Some people have a larger capacity for loving, different levels of emotions, or simply hard hearts. (I am not saying your parents do). That is just the way things are in life.

My husband and I cried our eyes out, every time we lost a dog or a pet horse. To me they are all family.

I am so sorry for your lost, I do know how you feel I two am a animal lover. When one of my pets die and go to doggie heaven I have a very hard time dealing with it. the only thing that helps me is knowing they are going to doggie heaven with all my other little dogs. They are all running around the clouds haveing fun playing. I am a big time dog lover and I rescue them the ones who are the misfits or the ones who are unwanted by somebody. There are so many people who will get a puppie becuase all puppies are cute and very loverable. Then the new wears off and they might not be as cute as they were and the new owner thinks they get in the way or they are to much trouble to take care of then they are turned lose or sent to a shelter and most shelters life spam is not long because the expence it takes to take care of the little dog. What I am getting to is all little dogs and animal's have a heart a mind, feelings and so much love to give and when we love them back we get so much more in return and it hurts so bad when we lose them.But remember all the fun and love you had with that animal and how you took care of them, and they are in heaven waiting on you to comejoin them one day. They look down and smile at you every day. I had a horrible house fire two years ago and I lost 9 of my little angels.It was the hardest thing I had to do was go back in the house and pull their little burned bodies out and bury them. I look up at the sky every day and smile because I know they are looking down at me and see that I am still going on and still rescueing their little friends, every star I see is them winking at me. Time will heat and the best way is to go to your local shelter and get you another dog, no it want take the place of the one you lost but it does help fill the void. Everybody needs a dog the give unconditinal love to their owner. Hang in there it does get better. Some people hide their feelings better than others because they want to be tough, As I said go to your local shelter and just walk around and I bet you will find one little dog that does in some way remind you of Liberty. I now have 32 little dogs. I have two sitting on my lap now, yes they are little!!
