So my mate has manging mutts and I don't like dogs in the house and I hate them jumping all over me PLUS they stink..But this is funny because I never felt so Accepting and willing to let them jump on me and bug me and sleep in the house and get a wiff of there dog smell..Why is it I hate mutts but I like his?why is it I would never allow another mans pet to stay in the house but my mates I do? why is it that every other dog irratates me but not my mates? is this retarded?

Because you love your mate, since you love him it makes you put up with his dogs. So no it isn't retarded, that's called love.

Take the dogs to the groomer and have them washed, like once a month. Dogs need regular baths, and it is better to have a groomer take care of this. They will smell better. Also they can be trained not to jump up on you, it isn't all that hard to train them. They can be taken to an obedience school and taught not to jump up on you.

I think you're waaayyyy overanalyzing this. He's your friend. It's his dog. You like your friend's dog. Because, you know, your friend loves his dog. His dog makes him happy. Him being happy makes you happy.

not at all...a dog is a part of its master- and the character of the dog is always reflected in the owner...The dog is just a canine version of your mate. plus its always good that the dog likes you, since dogs are known to be very protective of their owners against mates who may not work out for them...

Probably you are very fond of your mate, the dogs are important to your mate, therefore you are able to accept his dogs. Also you have had the opportunity to get to know the dogs which makes all the difference. Like humans, dogs have individual personalities, maybe your mate's dogs are compatible with you.
