Why my dogs lost their appetite2007-11-25 2:56:50

I mean I've been treating them nicely but they dont eat.

agree... we need more info... how long has this been going on? are they eating anything at all? did you change food recently?

If your dogs are not eating at all and are acting very quiet and depressed, you may need a vet asap. If they are eating something and still acting very active and normal, it may be just high temperature, change in diet, or if they are young adults that they don't need all the nutrients to support a growing body anymore.

Take them to the vet and find out why they are not eating. There's a possiblity that they may have heartworm.

In order for any kind of ideas why this might have happened, please provide more info. Like what kind of dogs, size, age, where have they been, any vomiting etc.

Maybe they aren't hungry.. Maybe they don't like the food.. Maybe they know it's spring and they are going to cut back on their food intake so that they look good for summer?

Its quite but natural that dogs,like we people,may have aversion to food.See whether or not they are drinking water.If not ,consult your vet immediately.Avoid giving them reach food.Give them vegitable stu added with some curd.please never force them to eat.Less or inadequate exercise sometimes lead dogs towards such want of appetite.Last but not least,ensure regular deworming courses are performed ,of course under able supervision of your vet.

There can be LOTS of reasons. If there seems to be no health issues, it can be lack of exercise. When my dogs are getting lots of walks they eat like crazy, but if I've been busy and not walking them as much, sometimes they'll skip a whole meal. Try exercising them more, and if the appetite doesn't increase, I'd have the dog evaluated by the vet.
