Well, people like their pets because they don't talk back, don't nag, overall don't pester like humans do! hehe. Also, dogs bond quickly and for life with their owner...the dog actually wants to make her happy, whereas other pets, such as cats, believe you are there for them and will treat you as so. Don't get me wrong, cats are affectionate...not nearly as much or frequent as dogs.

So, the only way you can act like a dog is to sit there by her side constantly without ever saying a word, jumping up and following her whereever she goes, and pretty much following whatever she tells you..or you can just treat her as you would like to be treated in return (the golden rule of life!).

The critters will hopefully always come before you. Go get yourself a non critter lover.you two are incompatible, you will always be jelous over the critters or the children (if you do stick together), or her family or whatever else besides you that is in her life.

No, she probably does love you too and might not be showing it like she does to her dog. And you shouldn't have to act or behave like her dog just so she can love you either, why not try talking to her about it?
