Why should I bother picking up my dogs crap2007-11-25 2:56:52

Look, nobody is a big fan of picking this stuff up, but it's part of responsible dog ownership. If you walk your dog down a dirt road or a secluded trail then I would leave it no problem.but if your walking your dog down streets, at a park or dog park..it's only common courtesy.

Imagine going to work one morning or whatever and OOPS..

Just spare us this misfortune.

Use paper bags if the environment is your concern! Just do your part!

You need to pick it up because it may contain parasites, which infects the ground, other animals, and possibly people. It's a potential public health risk. Even if your dog has been tested for worms, it's possible to get a false negative. So, it's better to be safe than sorry. Pick up that poop!

Yes you should pick it up. I sure hope you DO get fined. I find nothing worse than going for a walk with my friends and seeing dog poop on the sidewalk. Be a responsible pet owner and take a plastic bag with you on walks to pick up the poop. Also, get rid of the dog if you can't be bothered picking up the poop.

i take it you have no children as the threat of sending them blind would probably make you change your tune you obvously like walking in dog crap the rest of us dont and people like you should never have a dog as you are one highly irresponsible owner and give the responsible owners a bad name and you make me sick i have three dogs and i always clear up after them if i can manage 3 im damn sure you should be able to manage 1

Dog feces also carry diseases like Parvo and Worms. There are some people who dont pick up after thier dogs and unfortunatly other dogs gets sick because of it. Plus if everyone didnt pick up their dogs poop can you imagine how discusting it would be to go to the park and not be able to sit on the grass or let your kids play freely for fear that they might fall on or eat dog poop. Pick up after your dog or dont own anymore dogs if you dont want to clean up after them.
