Why should you let a dog go on the couch2007-11-25 2:56:52

I am a firm believer in humans' dominance over pets. I hate the idea of animals on furniture, not just because it's dirty (it's like rubbing your shoes against your matress), but because it puts them in the same status as the owner. And the owner, as the leader of the pack, should get all the best things. Why can't people like my dad respect this opinion and NOTencourage MY dog to go on the furniture when I am not home? Why must he make him a spoiled, good-for-nothing dog like his other stupid, retarded dog?

I personally do not let my dogs on my furniture either. Yes, the hair does make the couch all gross and the hair gets all over the clothes, but some people do not care, but that is if you want hair all over the place. I can see where you are coming from on the dominance thing, but other people will not understand, and I see that they have been pretty rude. Just because someone doesn't have the same opinion as you, it doesn't mean that you are right Come on people!!! Its a personal preference, not your choice, it is theirs. I do think that you are getting ahead of yourself when saying your dad's dog is good-for-nothing, though. You would have not gotten as many rude answers if you haven't had said that. I respect your opinion, I hope you respect mine.

Obviously your not a dog lover to say such awful things .Your dad loves his dog letting your dog on the furniture is a matter of chioce some don't like it others don't mind it's not about aleader or dominate thing at all.I have a dog and he has his own blanket on one cushion where he lays of course hes only 8lbs.
