Why wont my 6 week old pug eat or drink out of his bowl
Why wont my 6 week old pug eat or drink out of his bowl2007-11-25 2:56:52
We brought him home yesterday and he's playful and potties well. The only thing is he won't eat or drink out of his bowl. He would eat very little if i gave it to him by hand, but other than that he just walks away and won't do it on his own. Someone PLEASE help. i'm wondering if this is normal.
Answers:Don't worry your pug is acting very normal. He won't eat or drink out of his bowl because he is not used to it. He only eats a little when he is hand fed because he is only 6 weeks old! His stomach is not that big yet. He sounds like a healthy puppy you just need to give him some time to adapt to his new home. =)
why did you get your dog from an irresponsible breeder?? 6 weeks is still too young to bring pup home...
He's not eating because he should still be with his mother!!! 6 Weeks is too young to be away from his mother!! He should still be getting some milk from his Mom. It's not good for a little puppy to be weaned so young. He was probably still nursing when you got him. I suggest bringing him to your Vet and explaining the situation. The Vet will give you the advice you need! And you do need advice from a professional. The breeder should not have sold you a puppy this young...weaning a baby too young can cause all kinds of problems.
Did you ask the person who gave/sold you the pug what he usually eats?
