Why wont my dog sleep
Why wont my dog sleep2007-11-25 2:56:53
He is recovering from being treated for heartworms, which before that he slept ALL the time and was very lethargic. Now ever since we got him home he will not eat and won't sleep. He just paces and stands up all the time and will not even sit down. He will even start to fall asleep while he's standing.
Answers:He's scared. He might be in pain.
Let the Vet know!
All dogs will sleep when tired. If they don't eventually sleep, there is something seriously wrong with their brain or nervous system.
talk to the vet about it. especially if he's not eating.
Sounds like you need to call the vet. The treatment for heartworms is very toxic. You need to follow up to be sure there wasn't any organ damage.
somethings not right, he must be in pain...
Contact your vet and tell him what's going on. Your dog should certainly be eating and sleeping. Something is not right.
