I have adopted shelter dogs who have come to me with heartworm and ended up with cancer. Yes, it can be expensive, but when you adopt or purchase an animal, that animal becomes your responsibility. I get sooo mad and I'm so glad that there are people out there who share my point of view!!! Thank You!!!

my moms the dog control officer and my mom has to take dogs like to the shelter becouse thats abuse. i think the reasin is that they want a dog to say they have a dog and im whith you if you ever see a case like that you should call dog controll offcer or someone who has the right to take it away.

its not always that they purposely get a pet and don't take care of it.some people fall on hard times and don't want to loose a member of the family.if you lost your job would you get rid of your kid??.and there aren't always a lot places for low to no income families to get help with there pets other than spaying and neutering at a reduced price..i know what your saying and i understand your point of view.but try to remember that most people don't start out saying I'm going to torch-er my animal.they too love them they just don't have the money that they need.but that doesn't make them bad.we should do more for the people to help them with the problem so they can keep there pets and i bet more people will do the right thing...

I hate to upset you but there ARE people in the United States who have to consider carefully if a child really does need to visit a Doctor. Many people dont have a lot of money and any extra expenses cause them considerable hardship.
