I think that a poodle is the ultimate pet when it comes to allergy prone individuals. They have many cross breeds with poodles now that give you a variety of options instead of the common poodle. They have names like CockaPoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle), Lab-r-Doodle (Labrador Retriever/Poodle)...you get the point! LOL

The poodle doesn't produce the allergens (ie. Pet Dander)

why don't you just get a cat? You would obviously want to go with a short haired dog since you are opposed to shedding..maybe a chihuahua, or a boxer, boxers are really cuddly and friendly.

Answering the question of a dog that does not shed, would be most dogs in the terrier group. Terriers can be quite cuddly, too. I suggest you use the Internet to check out the different terrier breeds.

My suggestion would be a poodle or a terrier--maybe a Yorkie or a Scottie. We have a toy poodle and she doesn't shed. My sister had a Yorkie a few years ago and has a Scottie now. They have hair similar to ours and don't shed.

Probably most of the smooth coated breeds would be good. If you want a small dog, I'd suggest a toy or miniature poodle (the miniature is about the size of a cocker spaniel), a Yorkie, a Scottie, a miniature pincher or a chihuahua.

As far as the cuddling part--show them lots of love and attention and they'll be with you every minute!
