Will a raw diet make my aggressive dog worse
Don't worry about his diet unless he is experiencing health issues, change will only disorient your fear aggressive wannabe alpha more. Gentle leadership and consistant discipline is the only way to make your little fella content and psychologically adjusted.
An obedience class and a gentle leader harness will give you back the top dog position, the harness I employ is put out by Premier Pet Products and gives me the tool I require to gently remind my Mums 105 lb dog I have the oposable thumb and the driver's license so I am the boss of him in the world of man. You must get into the right place mentally before you ever can convince your dog you are smart enough for him to relinquish psychological control.
Absolutely not...
He has either been allowed to developed this eating habit, or has an aggressive/dominant personality.
For first - Never allow him to have his food -- it's yours, that you share with him. He needs to know you are the pack leader, and you/your family are "sharing" "with" him.
Feed him by hand until he gets used to the idea "he" is "not" in charge.
Do not let him snatch food from your hand either. Better yet -- make him do something for you, like sit.
I find that trained dogs (obedience/manners), are less deviant.
"Never' allow the kids to tease him, especially regarding food.
If he remains dominant you may need to see a "specialized"dog trainer specializing in aggressive dogs(would be a good idea to see 1 any how).
