The vets stuff does not work for me, will hydrogen-peroxide do any harm to a dog's ears internally?

Yes it will, and because it doesn't evaporate quickly, it leaves the ears too moist, which is the perfect breeding ground for yeast and other infections. My Vet told me to use a mixture of 50% alcohol, 50% white vinegar. Put some on a cotton ball or pad, to clean the ears. After the cleaning (don't use too much) take a dry pad to gently dry the ear. The alcohol kills germs and evaporates quickly, the vinegar helps balance the natural PH.

P.S. If there is a funny smell, discharge, or your dog seems uncomfortable about it's ears, please have a Vet check for infections. Some could take more than just one treatment.

Don't take a chance. Get ear liquid from a Pet Store if the vets stuff isn't working. Fill the ear with ear cleaner, massage the ear and then wipe it out with a cotton ball.

i would just use cotton balls or q tips and no liquid in ears, when i tried any liquid in the ears the dog got an ear infection for a long time, then it cost lots of money to get ear infection meds, so dont use liquied since yeast grows in wet places, anyway thats what the vet said.

cotton balls w rubbing alcohol(provided the dog doesnt have any cuts or abrasions inside the ears) works GREAT & its proven to be safe...professional groomers use it all the time.hydrogen peroxide because of the bubbling effect can irritate ears & honestly isnt good to put in ANY ears at all.your best bet though is still to get some ear cleaner from your local pet store its not expensive
