Will my Boston Terrier puppys white nose turn black2007-11-25 2:56:36

I bought a puppy that is too young to take away from its mom yet and the owner has been sending me pictures. The first ones she had a completely white nose, but the more recent one she has little black spots. Will her nose eventually turn all black? I can't remember from my last puppy whether his nose changed or was just black from the start. Just curious, Thanx for the feed back!!!

The pigment should fill in. Do both parents have complete nose pigment? And is the pup marked well? If there is too much white on the head you may have to worry about it's hearing. Are the parents BAER tested?

Check the national Boston Terrier website for more health info. Find out what health checks and guarantees the breeder offers.

And make sure she stays with her littermates till she is at least 8 weeks old.

Sometimes they will have little white spots on their nose. That is common of a Boston Terrier.

It probably will if it is getting black spots. One of the puppies in my last litter of French Bulldogs was born with an all white nose, but by 8 weeks it was completely filled in. It can take up to 6 months for the full pigment to come in on the nose, but if both of the parents have black noses then the puppy should be the same.

I brought my Boston Terrier home at 6 weeks old. She is now 8 months. Her colors did not change. But, she has gotten more black spots under the white hair like on her tummy and breast area. She is gorgeous. Sure hope urs turns out as nice and special as mine has. They are all great dogs.
